So its been a wee while since I've managed to post or do much in the way of hobby related stuff.
Recently my brother has started to dig out all his old toys. We used to play 40k quite a bit until the LAF tainted our fragile little minds!

So my main army used to be Space Wolves. I loved the lore and the fact they were so different from the other Space Marines.
I'll maybe try and dust off the old models for some shots. In the mean time, I managed to paint a model I used to find too daunting to paint!!

I'm not sure it shows up in these crappy phone shots, but I tried something different. I found a tutorial on youtube from a guy called Richard Gray. He does some amazing stuff, but the bit that interested me was his grimdark space marines. He uses a stipling technique fir the main colour, then highlights and glazes. The stipling seems to give loads of texture, hopefully majing the Dreadnought beat-up looking!
