Enhancing an MDF house
« on: October 04, 2021, 02:20:01 AM »
Recently put the finishing touches to one of Sarissa's small houses for North America. This for my AWI collection and I've posted a few progress shots in a post in the Big Battalions forum (so apologies if you have seen some of this already). As with all MDF buildings a little bit of embellishment goes a long way to break away from that distinctive MDF 'look' and give a building a unique character. There's a tutorial here if you want to follow the build in more detail https://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com/2021/10/28mm-house-with-stone-chimney-for-awi.html

Nice look with the embossed brick paper to clad the chimney. Something I’ve often contemplated trying.

Well worth trying, the key is to allow the glue to soften the paper first.

That's turned out great.  The embossed brick paper makes a real difference.
