Here is my last planned pieces for this project  although I'm still have an itch to make more!

One of the Planet 28 scenarios from Escape from Lychester has a toxic river and toxic pools. I decided to make some extra bits which will work in other games such as Mutants and Death Ray guns.

The pieces are mounted on 1mm plywood which the groundwork made from a mix of polyfilla, sand, caulk and paint. I painted the "water" part of the bases varying shades of brown.

The water part was Woodland scenics Realistic water mixed with a bit of green and brown ink which turned into a nightmare. My bottle was over 10 years old and it was the middle of winter here, so it was very damp in my garage. The first patch cracked really badly when it hardened. I poured another layer but I was a bit careless spreading it around and ended up with a lot of air bubbles. This helped a bit with the cracks but they were still visible. So I added another layer which hide the air bubbles and cracks a bit more.

At this point I had to either throw them out and start again, so I tried with a damp brush to reactivate the water and smooth it out. It helped in some places but other were a bit murky. So I poured one more thin layer and decided to embrace any remaining imperfections. ;D

In the photos you can see some of the cracking and murky patches, but fortunately it works for a toxic river and pools.

Also I added some green and rust paint to the water and I only lightly mixed it, and so the effect was pretty good.

Those CP Avians look great and I am tempted by them, but I am going to try and clear my current painting queue first before any more purchases.

Thinking of plenty of junk I've got that can be turned into terrain for my games.

The sludge rivers and ponds turned out great, despite the problems with the materials. They look like with a small change in pigment they would fit for stagnant water pools and streams.

Here's a sweet ride for the Space Cops. Its a Mantic GPCS Mule and I like the aesthetics of the vehicle ans its a nice easy model to assemble.

I painted in Mig RAL 8020 Gelbbraun as I had some left over from an Afrika Korp project. The decals are all from various 1/72 model kits.

Wow, the Mule looks excellent. I'd sort of brushed it off in the past, but next time I need a sci-fi MRAP, I may give it a look.  I like that you can put minis in the bed, but I can see where if they'd gone with no bench or no front face for the benches, you could fit almost a whole squad standing flat upright in the back.

Here's my mutants for Planet28 games. The figures kitbashed from lots of different sources with the Hobbit goblins figures being the most useful. Any questions on which bits I used, just ask.

The whole gang

Those look amazing! I recognize some of the parts - the final effect turned out really well. The painting suits them, too.

Very gribbly! I've been meaning to convert up some Lost & the Dammed style muties myself and these are perfect inspiration  ;)

Do I spy bits from the discontinued chaos Forsaken kit in there?
