Lol.  Those might do just fine.

Depends on the faces you put on them.  :)

Dan,
Thanks, I didn't think of looking at Microworld Games! I need to look at more 6mm stuff that might help in my plans. Not every Crypto is 7 feet tall.
Just remember "If the Enemy is in range, so are YOU!

War Monkey:  “Not every Crypto is 7 feet tall.”

Some are said to be 9’ or taller!  :)

You’ll enjoy this …

On July 11, 1771 Daniel Boone claimed to have shot a giant 10-foot man-like creature:

“He killed it in the Great Smokey Mountains and took three shots by a musket for it to fall down. Daniel Boone referring to bigfoots as "yahoos" probably comes from the Cherokee "Yeahoh".”

More on this incident:

Too cool!  Now I feel like gaming a pioneers vs bigfoots scenario.  They better not miss though.  :)

There are many tales of Bigfoot and others dating all the way back to the US colonial times. Plus, many Native American tales that were handed down long before the first colonist.

I can see how a Pioneers vs Bigfoot game could be great to play. There are other encounters that could happen as well. There are many stories of groups venturing out to find new territories that never return, or hunting parties both Colonist and Native Americans, that just vanished.

Right now, I am still working on a new list and figures, however it is in short spurts while my main focus is working on my "Silver Bayonet" gaming stuff.

I did receive three more books on Cryptozoology that I am reading at the moment.

Three books on cryptozoology?  Wow, enjoy them, my man!  And I hope they inspire you further.

I have a few others that I am still reading as well going back and forth cross referencing. I have a wish list for many more!

My next group of 5 will come from these areas Mexico, Central Africa, United States, Arabian, Persian Region and Poland.

I really like the basic idea of "Grimm" where many Creatures and Lore are from around the world.

I'm thinking of how to make some of my characters, taking the ideas from "Grimm", that are "Wesen" so to speak and be able to "Woge" where in this state they could have additional attributes. I am thinking of a having one as the human figure and then take a creature figure and adding clothes to it and paint it in the same color of clothes and the Human character is in. I am also thinking of head swaps as well like taking the heads off of many of Splintered Light Mini and replace them onto human bodies that I have duplicates from Rebel Minis.

Many of the rule books I own, have a character within the group that is a creature of sorts hidden inside until it's needed to come out. However, I still want all my cryptids to be just that cryptids for the teams to discover.

Here’s another game setting to insert Bigfoot figures into:

PS.  Look up “woodwose” for more examples.  They are almost always shown carrying clubs, which they would use to communicate in the forest.

While more scifi, Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths, & Legends is very similar to Grimm...even with the entire rare group being able to see through the human forms of some creatures.

Which did you have in mind for Arabia and Persia?  Any Djinn/Ifrits (a la Edmund Dulac)?
