I have war elephants by A&A, Aventine and Warlord.  The Carthaginian one by A&A is pretty good, and an absolute bargain at £10.75 for an all-metal model including crew. Their current offer for December is "buy 4 packs get 1 free" so treat yourself . The rest of their Carthaginian range is pretty decent too.

Second that.
However don’t rule out the brilliant Victrix kit.
Very versatile and looks great.

Tim, agree on Victrix. I have a pack ready for use with my Numidian army. Might be hard to track down though as Victrix website currently shows them as “sold out”.

I rather like the Foundry elephant. It is the right size, has good detail and has a good heft to it.

The down side is that they now want 34 quid for it!  :o

Never going to happen.

On the plus side though, I can sell the 15 I have to fund a new house... lol

Further to comments on Relic Miniatures, they make 2 elephants with crew astride (ie no howdah) as well as a nice vignette of Hannibal astride his own nellie.

Gripping Beast has a resin Carthaginian elephant with howdah.

Would echo support for Aventine and Victrix examples.    Aventine has elephants without howdahs and crew astride.  They include suitable mahouts for Carthaginians.   Looks like their elephants are now in resin.

I always like to mix my elephants so try and use a number of manufacturers' versions.
