Welsh Longbowmen and Knifemen of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire, carrying the banner of St David. The banner represents the 6th-century Dewi Sant (c.500 – 589), a Welsh bishop of Menevia and the patron saint of Wales.

At the Battle of Agincourt, Welsh archers would have been under the Earl of Arundel's contingent from his marcher estates, although there would likely have been Sussex men serving under other Lords also.

Richard Fitzalan, 3rd Earl of Arundel, 8th Earl of Surrey (1313 – 24 Jan 1376), commanding a Welsh contingent in France. His son Richard Fitzalan, 4th Earl of Arundel, 9th Earl of Surrey (1346 – 21 Sept 1397) can be seen leading Welsh spearmen into battle.

Wonderful to see all of the new Welsh painted already, and so well at that! Love the pictures with terrain in the background, incredibly atmospheric :-*

Loving the welsh archers and the earl of Arundel, the army must be getting quite huge now.

Cheers

It certainly looks like there is a lot of amazingly well-painted figures (hint: group shot)...

And I love the use of more 'dated' figures for the Welsh contingent. Were they more behind or is that more artistic licence?

No historical evidence mate, they probably just the same as their English counterparts.
