[15mm] A tale of a Madman (BIG Update incl. Dragon)
« on: April 03, 2022, 11:50:54 AM »
This thread will document my two main hobby addictions.
First of all i like to hoard rulebooks and tinker on some takes myself. The second addiction is to collect a mountain of lead and mostly paint them. I often don't find the time to play, only the time to paint.

So whats the Tale of a Madman about. The first time i saw the two Books of Realms of Chaos (WHFB3) i fell in love and wanted to start a 15mm fantasy project covering them. Three years later i have a collection of 15mm fantasy figuers much broader then i first planned for. I always find a new sideproject. In the End I Invite you in my Fantasy World of a Madman painting from setting to setting. Collecting and hoarding stuff. Getting tempted and mutated by the gods until i end up as a chaos spawn lol

Last weekend i tried Forbidden Psalm for the first time. And immediately fell in love with the strange but wonderful style of the rulebook. I can recommend it, if you search a fast and easy to lean D20 system.

The Warband of 'good guys', from left to right scibor dwarf, alternative armies dwarf, scibor human Doppelsöldner style, by fire and sword cossack and a scibor dwarf.

And the bad boys by splintered light with a gw pat rat

Some Action

And sadly the pat rat got slain

I hope to keep you guys updated regularly.

This sounds like a great project. I've heard some good things about Forbidden Psalm. I love the look of your good guys, especially the  doppelsoldner.

First of all, thank you all for the kind words. I was able to get some pictures done tonight and finally brought myself to get proper light and camera  :D

So lets start with the core, of some of my Realm of Chaos takes.

First Group is Slaanesh, I choose a Tribal Queen as a Champion. I love this sculpt.

(6m Epic 40k Keeper, Small one is a Familiar, 6mm Epic daemonettes and my Tribal Queen from Crom's Anvil now CP Models)

Until now Khorne is a bit underrepresented in my collection, but i have some stuff in the lead pile

(Epic 40k)

And now Asterix and Obelix but the Tzeentch way (scibor)

And the Rest of the guys (Epic 40k and Familiar GW)

The real Star and my main focus Nurgle, here only a small group. Some Witches from Copplestone Castings, a Champion converted from Ral Partha and GW Nurglings. I gave the Champion a Skyth and some tentacles.

For now its a small updated. But I hope you guys like my take on the different Chaos Gods, i also have something in the Pipeline for the fifth  ???

So here are my Landsknechts, they like to hunt Trolls. I have different types of Troll, but especially close to my hard are these 28mm scibor Goblins, which make perfect 15mm Trolls.

But first the Landsknechts with some nice Zweihändern.

And now the Trolls, finished the small one last week. Here in comparison to a 15mm scibor ogre and human

Awesome! A long time ago, I started collecting 15s with the same aim. I did finish my 15mm Genestealer Cult and Space Orks, but Chaos never took off.
Yours look great!

Great idea, using that Familiar as a small scale human.
