Painting Zulus

Just a quick question. Has anyone painted Zulus using Contrast paints and if so what brown did you use. Can’t make my mind up and hoping someone with any experience can help me with this.  Cheers

Not Zulu’s but currently bulk painting several hundred Beja tribesmen for the Sudan and using a mixture of “Gore Grunta Fur’ and “Wyldwood’ (I loathe the silly names they use but I suppose it must be good marketing?) followed by a brown shade ink and a heavy Matt Varnish. It looks ok en masse though close up it’s not ideal

Thanks Sparrow, they look very nice. Must admit I couldn’t make my mind up whether Grunta Fur was too light and the Wyldwood was too dark.
I suppose mixing them up gives a happy medium 😀

Base with lighter color, wash with the darker color.  Boom, then just hair, weapons, and clothing.  Simple and quick - or can be.
