Blood and Plunder - figure compatability
« on: May 17, 2022, 06:53:04 AM »
Hi there, I find myself wanting to add figures to my B&P Spanish milicianos crew.  Since we have started playing Donnybrook, I am wanting figures such as Sergeants, standard bearers etc. which Firelock do not do.

Has anybody had any success with adding figures from other ranges to there B&P crews? Looking for figures that will at least fit size-wise, if not in style.

I am aware that the B&P figures have timber deck modelled as their bases but I have an idea about how to mimic that on the bases from other ranges.

Edit: the B&P figures are from the original range, late 17thC.
Gods, monsters and men,
Will die together in the end.

Hello Ragnar,

I have used in the past miniatures along with B&P miniatures, in my opinion, Front Rank are fully compatible.

The officer is Blood and Plunder Spanish.

Ah cool, thanks Chema.

I could not tell that he is B&P looking at these pictures.

Beautifully painted minis too, by the way.

So the short, unhelp answer is "Not Much"!
(I am interested in the opposite; adding Blood and Plunder figures to the rest of my stuff :D )

There are a few figure comparisons around, which help a bit. These are the best two I think

From the left: Warlord ECW, Warlord Marlburian, B&P, Black
Scorpion, Galloping Major

From the left: ??, Warlord ECW, B&P, Northstar 1672

So the Front-rank late 17th C/WSS, and the Northstar 1672 range will work. I would put money on the Bicorne ECW figures and Renegade ECW figures (now sadly OOP) fitting too as they are the same size as Frontrank. Probably the Bloody miniatures ECW range too as it is 100% compatible with Bicorne/Renegade - see the comparison here - https://www.bloodyminiatures.co.uk/gallery?pgid=l2ouh1wj-888ad5af-4434-40bb-a437-002e1bb4f7e0
Redoubt and 1st Corps also do tall ECW figures who will probably also fit

Thanks Dragon for the advice and the lovely painted examples.

1672 and Front Rank were two of the ranges I was looking at.

As a long shot, does anyone have any ideas about Reiver Castings and Warfare Miniatures?

Warfare will sadly be too small, and by the looks of it so are Riever (assuming that Front-rank is about the same size as B&P). The Brigade Games King Phillips War figures are between Warfare & Frontrank in terms of size

Left to right: Dixon, Warfare Miniatures, Front Rank, Foundry, Old Glory, and Reiver (from the interwebs!)
