Excellent work so far. I know how tricky Stormtroopers can be to paint; you did a reat job on them!

Any ideas about the basing? I've gone with a simple desert setting myself; suits a whole lot of planets, but all my terrain is Tattooine-ish, so that's what I'll stick with...

Thank you gents! I’m enjoying t so far - even though those stormtroopers sometimes gibe me a hard time. The white is either not covering well or gets a slightly crumbly surface and basically requires a couple of thin layers to somehow work.

@ Hobgoblin & Daeothar: yes, that’s what I was thinking, when painting them, too. They’re perfect pig-faced orcs in their latest incarnation.

About basing: at the moment I’ve not made up my mind. Most of the stuff is indeed suitable for a desert planet. And Star Wars seems to be full of them desert planets.

But what about Hoth, Endor, Coruscant or the action inside an imperial building? I’m leaving them just black for a moment.

They are really nice. Just make sure they don't get surrounded near the edge of a cliff and they'll be fine

After a longer than desired break from the hobby due to various rl-related things (slightly more detailed in my motu thread), I was able to work a little bit on my Star Wars collection.

First of all: my stormtroopers and the model everyone wants to have on the field Vader aka Darth aka Anniepopanni; I am really unsure if I should decorate the bases. At the moment I think that might severely limit their use.

Another character I really enjoyed painting: General Grievous. Excellent model from the Clone Wars set of Star Wars Legion.

General Grievous commanded the biggest droid army pf the know universe. I have managed to acquire a good dozen of them.

…and five super battle droids. Both the normal and the super battle droids are hard plastic sculpts. WAY better than the clone troopers from the same set and lightyears apart from the first Legion boxed set. A joy to paint!

And finally the Daimyo - old, wise and redeemed Boba - with his bodyguard of a bloodthirsty wookie and two young gammorhean piglets. All 3d printed.
