I am currently running an ‘imaginations’ Wars of the Roses series of games with 28mm figures set in a fictitious hamlet in 1471, but the background narrative has developed a situation that has Henry trying to return to London amidst gathering rebel forces - what better moment to tell this part of the story than putting the Barnet scenario down from the Blood and Roses boardgame package.

the account is a merging of the two storylines, set out on a blog post. Can Henry survive the challenge?  LINK

Interesting, I love how you integrated a boardgame to do a battle you wouldn't have had enough minis (or maybe even time) to actually game. Clever idea!

Also I'm glad you are back online blogging again, I missed your entries even though I never commented on there, I did read them faithfully.

Being a Yorkist fan, glad Edward hung on but sob....for the loss of Richard. Guess no crown for him later...

Thanks for the thumbs up.

Yes, my attention was on the Henry / Edward aspect of victory, so the loss Richard threw me from a narrative point of view - that would certainly de-rail the foundations of my much loved Bosworth interests.
