I'm not entirely sure, but I believe he did some work for A&A models before designing for Aventine.

It's the same guy who did the Middle Imperial Romans for A&A, if memory serves.

Thanks for the info. I asked because I was thinking that they look a lot like Crusader Minis (Mark Sims sculpt).
