Who makes the best 28mm elephants?

A lot of companies do elephants now - I was wondering if anyone had done some comparisons of them?

Resin, I’d still go with Aventine or Gripping Beast or 1st Corps, but they are big!
Plastic, Victrix are superb.
3D printed, Blitzkrieg Indian range and elephants are very nice.

My herd of Elephants are a right mixture,
old ornaments, charity shop bargain bins, car boot sales, e-bay etc.

Definitely the best for price & variety. :)

Reading your opening post, I would say that it depends on what criteria you're looking for...? "Best" is a subjective term afterall! ;)

That said, you might find this thread of interest, as there's lot of elephant miniatures pictures in it from many sources.

It seems the post I wrote at 5.40 didn't go. A&A make a nice Carthaginian elephant. Excellent value for money. In my experience both Aventine and Gripping Beast products are superb and mix well. 1ST Corps are OK but huge and I sold mine on as it was way too big. I would avoid Warlord. The Successor one I bought needed a lot of work to fit it together. I have the Victrix Numidian pack and agree that it is excellent.

I'm excited to see the V and V  Carthaginian Elephant.   Supposed to be available in the next few weeks.

Just for information Gripping Beast elephants including crew are £18/19 each, Aventine are £12 plus £5.50 for crew, 1st Corps £12-17 depending on type plus crew @ £1.20 each. A&A are much cheaper at £10.95 each and Warlord are ridiculously cheap at £32.50! I'm sure the V&V model will be beautiful but having seen the price of the foot figures I hate to think how much it will cost.

Just saying my Charity shop/car boot etc averaged out at 75p each.  :D No 'crew' though. :-[

Does anyone have a comparison photo of the blitzkrieg Indian elephant(s) with the Aventine elephants.  It would be nice if they were close enough to be interchangeable with the army.
