So, like many of you I'm sure, I have some friends who are wargaming curious but never had a setting or era that grabbed their attention. For me, a couple of them are low key big into star wars. Which has a number of miniatures and wargaming options out there (a third one coming out soon in 28mm soon I believe?)
...But I'm kinda set in my 6mm ways these days. Wake\s emporium to the resque, as he does a fantastic "GMO wars" line, here is the starter set and he has almost everything you'd expect.

So I got that.
Then I started talking about this and one of those friends remarked how starwars is sci-fi with napoleon era tactics really... and the same week somebody said the same of 40k, epic armageddon specifically.
Now Epic is one of my favourite rules sets, easy where it matters, crunchy where it counts etc... So I started writing army lists, cause why not play star wars in the ruleset I like! there are so many things that are a good match for the rules its fascinating, the parts just fel into place. I swear even rules for gungans and their bubble shields map nicely to imperial void shield rules.
They are far from done, but you can find them here.

critique welcome.
Meanwhile, I realized; hey, nobody makes astromechs in 6mm, that's a crying shame. So I rectified that.

Tiny buggers are hard to photograph.
Also, really the clones could do with some allies, like wookies. And hey I needed something to practise sculpting fur on anyway. In the end I ended up colaborating with a friend and fellow forum member, where I create the base shape and weaponry, and he does the hair.

so those are coming along nicely, probably end up with 12+ sculpts soon.
Now you can find some very nice scout speeder bikes on thingyverse, and reading up those were in fact in use during the clone wars. We see a jedi riding one right before they are order 66'ed. She was one of the scantily clad female presenting aliens, not really my jup of tea to sculpt, but still, bikes were already done...

Meanwhile meanwhile I ordered a x-wing outrider from ebay, its missing some paint apps, I think these are factory rejects or half finished product when the line was shut down. I'm fixing up the paint on mine now, its going quite well.

In the mean mean meantime, I've actually finished painting some of those wakes miniatures from the beginning of this post, but the light isn't conductive to pictures atm so that will have to wait...
