Just started painting 12 for my army project and it will probably take me more time to paint them then you did for 300.

Amazing productivity!  o_o

Thank you all for the kind words. Batch painting is king (and the only way for me to wind-down after a mentally stressful work period - I just get into the "zone" and hundreds of horses emerge :)).

Some eagle-eyed among you might have spied some artillery draft horses in one of the trays. These allowed me to finish the artillery train. Caissons, limber and assorted wagons - the last locally borrowed and thus now in Prussian colours - from Perry, Calpe and 3D prints.

Here we have 1. Ulanen Regiment as the first cavalry unit of the Prussians. These were the lead regiment of 1. Brigade, IV Korps Reserve Cavalry commanded by the previously shown Oberst von Schwerin. Like many Prussian cavalry units, they had a small detachment of mounted Jaeger which I have represented by a round skirmish base in the same manner as the foot Jaeger add-on. All Perry plastics, with the right detailing for the Jaeger with their distinct uniforms.

Many more to come!

Thanks. Here we have 6. Husaren Regiment with their Jaeger detachment. Figures are from Warlord except the Jaeger from Calpe.

The second cavalry brigade is commanded by Oberstleutnant von Watzdorff.

8. Dragoner Regiment from Warlord.

Here come the guns! These are the three horse artillery batteries attached to IV Korps Reserve Kavallerie: Nr. 1, 11 and 12. Nr. 1 had one section detached to guard the flank. Nr. 11 used British 6pdr, and Nr. 12 is a conventional Prussian battery with three sections of 6 pdr and one section of 7lbs howitzers. As usual, I added mounted figures to identify them as horse artillery.

Thank you all.

Here we have 8. Husaren Regiment using Calpe figures. This was a composite unit with the first squadron drawn from the 2. Leib-Hussaren Regiment with black uniforms and their famous "deathhead" emblem on the shako, the second squadron from 3. Husaren Regiment in classical blue uniforms, and the third squadron formed from Hellwig's Freikorps in distinct red uniforms and wearing colpack. I sculpted the last with a bit of green stuff over normal Calpe figures. This wraps up the second cavalry brigade. On to the Landwehr cavalry!
