Thank you for all the kind comments! It's been a.... challenging year, but even more so for so many others. My family is very very lucky. International family, and one of my countries is very committed to keeping families together. So my wife received her 5 year visa last month and we can apply for her citizenship in 3 years!
These are the Black Site Studio buildings. The upsides, they are fairly robust, two layer walls is standard for inside and out. Some of the details are less so, and some of the cuts... well it's impossible not to see stuff just snap off. But it is what it is, and this is PA so it's easy to hide breaks as if they were intentional. There were also miscuts in every kit, some more problematic than others. You can see that one window, or one wall would not match up, slightly higher or lower when the laser came around to complete the cut. Also, some things just didn't make sense. They show window panes are to be added, provided the panes, but cut them way way too small, like 1/4" too small.... For the price of the kits, I'd expect less errors. Maybe once on one kit, but not across several.... All of the interior walls are baby blue. But the paint serves as a primer and they take paint well. Shoe polish works like a charm on the floors. Overall I'm happy with the kits and can recommend them with the aforementioned caveats.
I went to the equivalent of a 99 cent store here and got 4 perfectly sized vehicles, so I'll hit them with some color to weather them up. Then its on to the minis! This happened by consequence, but I have to say when I embark on new projects I intend to build terrain first. I can't tell you how many projects I have started, bought minis and terrain, and then once the minis were done, I moved on.... This way, terrain is done up front, then I'm still charged to do the minis, and the project completes!
