Author Topic: Infamy, Infamy - last batch of Germanic tribesmen for a while 24/1  (Read 3483 times)

My first project of 2023 is to complete my Infamy Infamy Early Imperial Romans and Germanic hordes.

The first 2 units are Roman western auxiliary archers, and some converted Germanic slingers, both from the Foundry range.

Lots more to follow over the next few weeks.

Excellent job on both units!

Just curious which colours you used for the Roman tunics? It looks quite good.

Thanks, I actually painted these some time ago and am not 100% sure of the colour used, but I 'think' it was the Foundry 'Dusky Flesh Triad'. If not that one then something very similar.

Thanks for the information about the paint, that’s helpful! I’m looking forward to seeing new units as you add them to the armies.

I finished these Auxilia last night.
Its the last of the Romans for a while whilst I finish basing the hairy Germanic hordes.

Thanks LN and PM.

The first batch of Germanic hordes was completed last night. They are a mix of Foundry and BTD.
The chap with the red and white shield on the left of the 2nd photo was the first figure I ever painted with acrylics, way back in the 1990's. I had not realised you need to thin them with water to get a smooth finish!
Its good to finally get these guys painted and based up - they have been in the queue for a long time!

Nice work.
About the Germans, to paraphrase the Duke of Wellington, 'I don't
know what they do to the enemy/Romans, but by God they frighten me.'

Very nice job on those Germans! They should put the fear into the Romans.
