Fiddling with the roof....

The lower roof level was built from more 2/3mm foamed PVC
For the tiling I am cheating and using corderoy!
I dont have any suitable embossed plastic card and it would be complex to shape and fit on this roof.
I have used corderoy before for mediteranean tiled roofing, following the idea of Gary Chalk for his pirate buldings in an old Wargames Illustrated.

The corderoy was glued to thin card with PVA. This would give it some rigidity and flexibilty, to enable it to be shaped/curved.

Pieces were then cut to apporximate size and the edges sealed with superglue (the white staining) to add strength (A technique I have used before, borrowed from Silent Invader & Tin Shed Gamer)

After lots of measuring, adjusting, measuring, cutting, sanding & glueing I had the lower level complete.
The ridgelines and support for the upper roof are more 2mm foamed PVC.
Level one complete!
