Gunbirds AK-47 - update 30-9 Wadiya Patrol Boat Number 1!
« on: 04 April 2023, 01:06:05 PM »
Been a while since I was last here (well, years tbh) but I want to try and build some more stuff in the near future. So...I made 2 tin shacks in 15mm for AK-47 this weekend and painted them. Pretty happy with them.  AK-47 so all a bit tongue in cheeck. Infantry not painted by me, just a base from a lot I picked up.

There's a lot to like about those: the rust and the signage especially.

Lovely stuff, are they just cardboard? They look real.

Foam core block for the shape, cardboard glued to that, 2 coats of watered down not-Modge Podge so durable and strong. I still make stuff that can be used hard in a shop, even if I don't game much anymore. Old habits :)

Those look great, and trust me I've seen a lot of shacks, so I know what the look like!

Welcome back, Johan! I look forward to see more of your 15mm explorations now. Cheap used H0 scale railway stuff could be a plentiful source for it...  ::)
