Wargaming in post-Roman Britain - Arthurians! (Update page 4 - 02/08/23)

Hi all

Ever since reading through the inimitable Captain Blood's "Twilight of Britannia" project log some years ago, the idea of a post-Roman/Arthurian army has been stuck in my head. With Victrix recently releasing their lovely selection of Late Roman/Romano-British figures, my willpower failed.

At the moment this is a relatively slow-grow hobby project, but with the eventual aim of working towards a force for Saga: Age of Invasions, and with the intention of making a small Saxon force as well, for my Britons to fight.

So, here's the first group of 8 warriors. In my mind this force exists only shortly after the withdrawal of the Roman Empire, and as such are still relatively Romanised in their style of dress and equipment, albeit with hopefully enough plaid and moustaches to mark them out as Britons. This first post is going to be a bit photo heavy I'm afraid!

EDIT: Something went a bit wrong with adding photos. Just the group shot here for now - will hopefully sort individual ones later.

The minis look amazing! Especially, the colour palette is well chosen!

The victrix figures are just amazing to paint!
