We've used Fistful of Lead, BOHICA, and The Nam for our Vietnam games.  All could work, with varying degrees of success, as solo games.  Same for Congo games.  The author of The Nam also has a set of similar rules for that period - Wild Geese.

FNG second tour from Two Hour Wargames but you'll have to ask to Ed as they are no more in his web page.

A lot of old THW titles, including FNG, are available from Wargame Vault.

I’l looking  for simple rules for combat Vietnam/1960 Congo .
20/28mm.

Although my Wars of Insurgency rules were intended for 1960s Congo and similar, there's no reason that they wouldn't work for Vietnam skirmishes, too. Each player controls 2-5 squads that range in size from a single vehicle to up to 12 figures. There are three troop qualities and weapons are standardized, so small arms, LMG, RPG, etc.

Lots of links to battle reports on the First Command Wargames page for the rules:

Feel free to ask any questions you might have...

Not designed/intended as solo (or a pure miniatures game) as it says 3 players but Charlie Company is worth a look https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/26765/charlie-company-infantry-combat-vietnam-1965-1972 it’s a miniature/role play game and whilst it’s a lot of fun as a group role play with an umpire/GM, if you were looking at playing a narrative driven solo game where your imagination and storytelling drive it (you play the opponent as best as you can rather than a particular solo system or bot) then I’ve always thought it held potential (if nothing else it’s an interesting resource).

The more I think about it the more I see Vietnam as potentially very suitable for solo patrol skirmish gaming as the opponents actions/intentions are well known or pretty easy to assume and the contact levels representable on the tabletop. Just need jungle, lots of jungle ………

Interesting to see what you choose, I only know the very basics of the Vietnam war’s history but there seems to be a swathe of possibilities.
