Thanks  :)

What is the little wall and gate at the front?

It’s a set of separate siege lines that were used in the siege of 1446. They are modular and will be available in the webshop in a month or so.

Catching up on outstanding work at the moment but there are two potential projects similar in style that are in the works (yet to be confirmed). Not as big though fortunately  lol

It must be quite gratifying to see your work on display in such a setting - and knowing it is likely to be on display for a good long while.

Ah, but no taking a long sigh of relief for you but on to the next and then the next project.  Well, hopefully these sundry projects are contributing to your eventual retirement (or maybe semi-retirement) one day.   ;)

An absolute masterpiece; great to see it come up again. Should I ever be in the region, I will surely pay a visit!

But I have to ask; what kind of (literally) over the top helmet is that re-enactor wearing in those black and white pictures behind the model? Because that's beginning to look misguided...  lol

Ah, well, the castle was bought in the 20's and was in disrepair. The family renovated in what they thought was the style used back when the castle was at it's height and along with that, some 'promo' photos were taken and were blown up a few years ago and used for display. A lot of the work done in the 20's remains as it's now part of the castles history.

I've added some history links to the top of the Gradara page and am awaiting for a few more that will hopefully explain it better than I can  :)
