Raid on Innsmouth
« on: 13 June 2023, 03:08:50 PM »
It has been a long time without posting a scenario but real life (kids, job...) and new projects have made it difficult...

I wanted to do a Raid on Innsmouth scenario for Fear of the Dark, but I wanted to make a final chapter with a battle between soldiers and deep ones, thus I decided to use my upcoming ww2 solo skirmish ruleset to play that battle.

The scenario was fast, dynamic, lethal and really really fun!

I hope you enjoy it!

That looks great!  Love the table, but sorry for Innsmouth and their fate!

Looks amazing, the first shot with the larger, lumbering deep one dwarfing the others as it rises from the harbour - brilliant. Looking forwards to seeing your rules when available, keep up the good work,

Great looking game. A bit like Aliens, in that not enough soldiers are available to take on hordes coming from everywhere.
I hope you do a repeat scenario in which the soldiers get more men and/or support weapons (BARs and a flamethower should do the trick). Of course, the deep ones might have suitable reinforcements (did someone say shoggoth?).

Thanks a lot for your replies and opinions!

I want to play some scenes more mixing lovecraftian setting and ww2, one inside a manor and another defending a lighthouse.

Has anyone found a good building model to represent the Gilman House hotel? I'm on a Kickstarter for a tavern that will do in a pinch, but I haven't found anything that really screams "that's it".
