28mm WW1 Russian Peaked Cap Heads?
« on: 13 June 2023, 11:53:09 PM »
Does anybody offer separate heads in 28mm scale wearing WW1/RCW Russian style peaked caps?  The only range that seems to offer them is Forgotten Front Miniatures, and unfortunately I was not terribly impressed. Most of them lacked any peaks at all.

Your best bet would be to try some of the sites selling STL's . you might want to wait for the Wargames Atlantic Russians for Four Wars set.

But I would not hold your breath this set  and a Japanese one were announced over a year ago .  Their WW1 British even longer and they have yet to see the light of day.

I noticed the ones from Wargames Atlantic; that may be my only hope.

I was also going to point out the wargames Atlantic figs. Just hope they come out sooner then later  :(

I produce sets of figures for the Russian Civil War. These figures have separate heads, including those in peaked caps. True, there is a star-shaped cockade on the caps, but on this scale it will not be a big problem, in my opinion. I can sell them separately.

Apparently,  need to think about selling heads separately in different hats for this period... Thanks for the idea

Mikhail:

Sorry for the lack of reply; I only just now saw your post. As long as the heads are wearing the 1910 Tsarist furashka, Your suggestion is literally perfect! The caps having star shaped cockades will work wonderfully.  How would I go about purchasing some of your 28mm heads with  Russian peaked caps? I looked in your site and was sad I didn’t see any for sale.

Oops, I completely forgot about that intention :-)
Just write to me how many goals you need and we will discuss the details of the transaction.
Perhaps I will be late with the answer for a day - tomorrow I will leave for the mountains, where the connection does not always work.
