I think Matt still owns them, but Skytrex were molding the figures for him as he was using Griffin molds before which charge a premium. So the price could be reduced as metal is cheaper now than at the peak of the pandemic.

Cheers

Matt, that was the situation last Autumn. An e-mail from Skytrex yesterday plus the Emperor Toad's website says Skytrex have acquired the ranges. Don't expect any price reductions.

When reading the websites of emperor toad and of skytrex i don’t think either.
Mathew did a great job and brought us miniatures no one does. I hope that will continue under the skytrex label.

Bah!  :-[

Hopefully it will guarantee long term availability but Warlord have a mixed record with the ranges they have gobbled up...

Adam, I'm quiet hopeful about availability but at what price! Also, I know the owner of Emperor Toads' had some interesting plans to expand the range. No idea if these will now come to fruition.

Voldemort Games? Double the price of the existing range, commission nothing new or, if you, do make sure it doesn't match the original and/or is of inferior quality and then top it all off by making the packs only sporadically available. That's the usual MO isn't it?

Good luck with that one.

Carlos, I've seen the price rise already. 50% up compared to the previous owner, albeit I think he was underpriced. From what I could tell he just couldn't break into the market with quite a niche range and lacked the resources to advertise etc etc. I already have all I need for my preferred scale of battle, but would love to see the range expanded into other theatres of the 1790s Revolutionary Wars. The range complements and also competes with Warlord's existing Trent Miniatures figures but are completely different in style so not compatible at all!

Well the sample figures I ordered have finally arrived. I have to say I am very pleased with them. They are roughly the same size as Perry Miniatures 28mm (so on the smaller side), detail is excellent and accurate. These will really be a joy to paint up.

Just picked up one of the new British sculpts from the Eureka range. These are considerably less beefy than their predecessors and should now match the rest of the Revolutionary Wars rage, which I understand from Nic that they now replace.

I take it back. Skytrex already have some of the packs that were out of stock, now available. With the 15% Bastille Day discount the prices are still very  reasonable too.

You have to buy a whole regiment? Not packs of six or eight? They don't even say how many figures you get for your $72 USD. Not too impressed...Sticking with Eureka USA. Great selection, excellent, fast, customer service.

Via skytrex you can buy smaller packs and regiments are according to the advertisements by warlord 24 figures. I don’t know why you are so negative?

Sepoy, It seems you can only buy whole regiments on the Warlord website but for some reason only known to Warlord/Skytrex you can buy individual packs on the Skytrex website.  At £2.10 per figure they aren't at the cheap end of the market but are very nice figures. I have a Vendee Rebel force bought when they were still sold by Emperor Toad's.
