Eureka 28mm Revolutionary Wars - French
« on: 25 December 2009, 02:49:16 AM »
A few more updates for this range. Due to lighting effects and angles, the mouths of a coupe figures appear wierd. This is not the case in the hand.

one new regular and one ragged artillery crewman

Skirmishing/firing line - line infantry

French Chasseurs Vignette accessories
2 women for the prior released water trough vignette with small wooden bench seat

Note that I photographed the bench seat upside down :O The actual seat has planking and a timber grain pattern. The old hag is hard to make out in the hand area, she is wearing roughed up mittens etc and is smoking a pipe. Overall well done though the simple method of making her shawl interesting by pushing random dimples in the material may annoy chainmail officianadoes.

These Eureka figures are just getting better all the time! I really want some more to add to the lead pile.

I just finished up 10 of my chasseurs last night. I had no idea there was so much more French infantry in the pipeline. I'd better get cracking on my artillery and reinforce the Austrians!

Thanks cmd, these are once again very nice figures. The more dynamic poses on some of them is a great thing for those who prefer to do small skirmish games.

I suppose these are some kind of pre-production figures too?

@Aaron, may I ask you to post some pictures of your painted Chasseurs?

I keep meaning to post a few pictures. As soon as I tidy up the bases and hit them with some dullcote I'll make sure I do.

Those cavalry are outstanding, sure one in a mirliton is Harvey Keitel! Still got to paint some of their artillery up, been doing other stuff but those cavalry will lead me astray im sure! Aaron, would like to see the pics too when you get chance.

As promised here are a few (poor quality) pictures of my chasseurs. I also threw in Fred on flute and his partner on the keyboards for good measure. http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;u=520;cat=129 (the first five or so shots)

Here is a teaser, the chasseur a cheval horseholder vignette:

I've got another ten in mirliton, but I'll crack on with some Austrians before I get to them.

Speaking of the Austrians, here is the test model I did for the cheveuxlegers. It seems to me like every release from Eureka is a little better than the last!

You should do a blog Aaron so I can just check it periodically to see some new nappies or whatnots rather than chance missing a pic. Great work btw.

Thanks. I keep thinking about doing a blog, but I need to improve my photography skills and overcome my laziness issues first.

Simply called 'Later French Chasseurs' on the packs I recieved, I have no idea when 'later' was, no doubt a French expert will tell us the date and hour they were officially introduced with the new uniform.
