Kickstarter: "Smash"ing 28mm Robots STL & printed options
« on: June 23, 2023, 07:24:23 PM »
Fun little KS campaign offering well known* robot figures in either STL format or as a set of ready printed components. Sadly no cat as yet.

I quite like those sculpts, pulpy sci-fi muppet fun. I will need to research the “smash” reference though.

Edit: Research completed. Ah yes, I can see how these may resonate with nostalgia for some.

TV advert for a (then new) instant mash potato, trade name, 'Smash'

The story I heard was that the advertising company realized at the last moment that they were
one presentation short for their client, Cadburys. The Martians were thrown together just to
make up the correct number of presentations. Cadburys however liked the Martians.

When our family first tried Smash, my dear old mother read the 'destructions' (as she called
the instructions) declared, 'That's not enough water' & added more. We didn't have mashed
potato, rather we had Potato Soup.
 lol lol lol

Etsy page of this KS creator. Might be useful info for your decision making on this KS. Lots of good feedback.
