As to colour / density of plants - it does rather depend on time of year - but I do like the more green ones.

A lovely collection of figures you have - beautifully painted - and a very fine board.  Quite enjoyed the AAR on your website.  The Nine Years War (Hugh O'Neill's rebellion) and its immediate lead-up offers a lot of scope for wargaming.  In the final stage, the Battle of Kinsale, there is even the prospect of Spanish troops to support the Irish.  Bravo for recreating a forgotten period for wargaming.

Cheers Metternich, I am looking at the slightly earlier second Desmond rebellion which also had some small ammount of Spanish and Italian support, but of course the vast majority of troops are interchangable. Would possibly need more Irish shotte and some Irish Pike for later 9 years war.
