Great work!

This makes me very nostalgic for a decade ago, when I felt young and hopeful...

A great piece and paintjob on it.  I would NOT want to sail behind that thing.  Gross!

Great stuff - really like your style of painting on these ships and models.

Approximately how big are the ships?

The Skabrus is going to make me dig up those old models, and just for once I know where they are - I think!

I’ve gone back and forth on picking up a copy of Dreadfleet for years. The incredible paint jobs in this thread pushes me back toward “pick up”. I love the look of the game. The models, the mat, that sweet Blanche art, and I’ve heard the game is a hoot, but also not so great. Hard to tell on this one. Maybe if it’s just taken as a dice chucking beer and pretzels game it’s a lot of fun?

The Flaming Scimitar

This one took me a lot longer than I expected.
The wind elemental broke off twice, and the rear sail broke once as well(which was probably a good thins as I wouldn't be able to paint it otherwise).
It was a nightmare, and I'm glad its finally done.  o_o

"That looks INCREDIBLY prone to breakage!" was indeed my first thought for the Flaming Scimitar. Not at all surprised that it did so on you.

Your version of the Skabrus is perfect! Love the gross water behind it, such a great and well implemented idea!
