(Non-Adhesive, Unsealed) Cork Tile Supplier in the USA?

Hi everyone,

After (obsessively re-)reading the Mighty Matakishi's Making Things pages and his article on cork tiles, I have been trying to find a US supplier for non-adhesive, unsealed, cork floor tiles. He uses these.

Try as I might, I cannot find them (or an equivalent) online from a US supplier--every blessed result is sealed or comes with an annoying self-adhesive backing.

Have any US-based LAFers had more luck?

I have been able to get unsealed cork tiles at hardware stores here on Guam (though Home Depot no longer seems to carry them). I recently purchased some on eBay, Good luck.

Thanks--It's a doozy!

(One Portuguese company seems to have a US office--oddly enough, just one town over from me. I've found something similar with an acrylic finish but am emailing them to ask if they have exactly what I need. Fingers crossed!)

you might find some by looking for laser-cutting suppliers - some people engrave onto cork
