15mm Aztecs - Irregular Wars
« on: 16 September 2023, 06:20:04 PM »
I stumbled across some photos on my phone of my 15mm Meso-Americans based up for the Irregular Wars ruleset. I painted them up a few years ago, from what I recall it was a fairly fun army to play with.

A few more pictures (and words) here on my blog: http://lecoqfou.blogspot.com/2023/09/meso-americans-for-irregular-wars.html

Beautiful painting on these figures with a lot of dynamism where appropriate.  I really also like “Irregular Wars” as a set of rules for the initial contest between Europeans and the more developed Native Americans.  If the Conquistadors don’t build up some momentum with their early attacks, the Maya/Aztec/Inca can overwhelm them over time.  Terrain really helps even up the odds as well.

They look great!

I too am a fan of Irregular Wars - but haven’t got my Americas figures painted up yet.
