Great stuff - and really looks great; not used the rules for multi-company battles before (space more than anything) but I'm inspired to put together some new armies and get the rules out again. As if I needed another project! But the rules are great for just that type of thing with the army lists.

A bit out of the Pike & Musket theatre but I would like to see more about the Ancient Greek and fantasy lists, Nic    ;)

If you drop me a message through the blog I can send you all the files.

A photo battle report...

:o WOW. That looked great. 10mm stuff gives a totally different look to the armies. Love it.

Would you mind terribly if I lifter it and posted it on the blog?

Glad you like the look of the game! It's fine to add it to the blog

The 10mm figures are on 40mm bases, and in close order, so there are a lot more figures than the 15mm ones.

I'm steadily working on some more stuff in period  historical figures.

Well my cards arrived today from the Drive Thru Cards in Savannah GA.

Two weeks from ordering and delivered 1st class letter post. Order placed on 14th, mailed on 19th and arrived this morning in a padded jiffy. Cards are lovely,  nice designs, well printed .

I didn't order a deck box with them, this might have been worth it for protective purposes but they survived the trip without any bashes or nicks from transit.

Well worth the price at £5.60 for the cards and £3.30 postage.

Cheers Emir, delighted you are happy with them! I have kept the price as low as possible to try and encourage their use - they do add a lot of flavour to the games I think.

Just got a copy of this and planning to use it for Conquistadors vs Aztecs and other Mesoamerican warfare. Looks like a great set of rules!

This has completely inspired me to return to IW. Now if Khurasan would just release the C16th English...

Did the naval version of the rules - All at Sea - ever get released as a pdf? I'm of a mind to do an Anglo-Spanish war campaign. If I can find ships too.

Cheers Jay, welcome aboard. I can be contacted here sporadically if you have any questions, or via the contat form on my blog http://irregularwars.blogspot.co.uk/.

Thanks for putting that up Doc. For those that don't know him, Richard is a true gent, but also a sadistic play tester and proof reader and was of inestimable help in the transfer from version 1.5 to 2nd edition.

Black Crane - of sorts, yes. All at Sea was eventually published as Galleys & Galleons, through Ganesha Games. http://irregularwars.blogspot.co.uk/p/galleys-galleons.html

Ahha, terrific, thanks. Was looking at your blog last night but missed that.

Incidentally, your ships from Valient Enterprises (right?); does someone else carry those now add it looked like Valient doesn't exist anymore?

Not sure I'm afraid. I had an international move and started afresh with 1/450 ships.

Bought a copy a fex days ago. A really nice set of rules. I'm eager to have a game with my 28mm miniatures  ;D
"The enemy? His sense of duty was no less than yours, I deem. You wonder what his name is, where he came from. And if he was really evil at heart. What lies or threats led him on this long march from home. If he would not rather have stayed there ... in peace. War will make corpses of us all."
