Calimero, I've never primed with black in my life! Currently I use GW Fortress Grey, I think it gives a nice flat surface colour to paint on. A bit labourious slopping it on by brush perhaps, but it's always a good chance to miss bits of flash or molding lines I might have missed during the clean up.

Before I read your text I was thinking to myself, you do not need to paint checks on these to make them look good then!

Now I am even closer to digging mine out and starting them - its all your fault

Go for it Svenn - given that you have the lead already, there's no excuse for not succumbing to 'Ooh, shiny!' this time!

Very nice indeed - I've always been put off Outpost although I now see it's probably the paint jobs that ruined them.......more lead for the mountain
