:-* Nice Inca unit indeed. Do you prime the figures with a black primer?

Calimero, I've never primed with black in my life! Currently I use GW Fortress Grey, I think it gives a nice flat surface colour to paint on. A bit labourious slopping it on by brush perhaps, but it's always a good chance to miss bits of flash or molding lines I might have missed during the clean up.

Before I read your text I was thinking to myself, you do not need to paint checks on these to make them look good then!

Now I am even closer to digging mine out and starting them - its all your fault

Go for it Svenn - given that you have the lead already, there's no excuse for not succumbing to 'Ooh, shiny!' this time!  :D

In fact, here's some more encouragement:

Stop it with your evil encouragements ;D

Another great piece. What are you using for flesh? No need to answer very quickly as I only have another couple of thousand shiny toys to attack as well ;)

Oh so beautiful Oxiana. You are certainly gaining speed on your brushwork for your collection.

Lovely command set by the way.

My project for this genre is on hold for the moment. Maybe 2011 if God let's me!

Best wishes,

My last painted stuff of 2009, an Inca palanquin (by Outpost). The base possibly needs working on, but I'll come back to that later. Happy Christmas!

Thats lovely. You are still not helping, I have a few of those to do. Foolishly, I bought the extra bearers which makes them much more of a daunting task

Very nice indeed - I've always been put off Outpost although I now see it's probably the paint jobs that ruined them.......more lead for the mountain  ;)
