Battle Brush Studios! I spend far too much time on your excellent webpage so its nice to almost meet, I've been a follower for years! I just reread your review of the artillery set and it is indeed a loss to a wargamer now that it is no longer available.
Carlos lovely figures and I am really liking the house behind them. I too am a Carl! I do remember the Airfix set and now that you mention it there is a similarity that I hadn't noticed before.

Oh, too kind, Sir. :) Thanks very much. Glad you seem to get your Russians!

I'm almost a bit surprised that Wargames Atlantic haven't done any 28mm WW2 Russians yet. Also; Victrix surprisingly jumped into 28mm WW2 plastics recently, so maybe they'll do something in that direction.

Might be a quite a wait for Victrix, so far they have produced a grand total of four British Army figures in.... resin and those aren't available as yet.

Oh, sorry, my bad. I thought that it was a full plastic set. :D Never mind then.

To be honest that's what I had presumed as well. Their website suggests otherwise though. Perhaps they are testing the waters?

Possibly. WW2 plastic british in 28mm sounds like a pretty surefire thing though, right? But who knows. Plastics are expensive to produce. I for one would prefer to have them in hard plastic rather than siocast. :D

Plastics really have transformed my hobby, there are so many to chose from now its a wonderful time to be a wargamer! Wargames Atlantic do seem to produce a new kit every month and their early war British I am sure will be a winner but if Victrix enter the World War two scene its going to be bad news for my meagre savings...

Likewise. I recently had the 'pleasure' of putting together a Rubicon blister set of figures, Despite the website saying they were pewter figures, the delivered item was in something truly ghastly that had the semi hard, semi rubbery consistency of chewing gum found under a school desk. Their actual ABS figures are OK, albeit a bit soft detail wise and of course the absolute need to have an ABS suitable glue on hand but this stuff was a pain to clean mould lines, glue together and enlarge the sockets for limbs. Not a fan.
