Suppliers of Vallejo Game Color
« on: 31 October 2023, 11:00:32 PM »
I’m looking for a UK stockist of Game Color paints who sells individual 17ml bottles. Any recommendations for price, service and stock availability?

And while I’m on paints, are there any ranges of similar quality but cheaper?

Thanks

Doug

Pendraken https://www.pendraken.co.uk/vallejo-paints-game-color

Always great service, They seem to have all but a couple in stock, and their prices are usually pretty good.

I'm not sure what the prices look like in the UK, but in the U.S. the pricing is really good for Vallejo (approximately $2.70 a bottle).  The only thing cheaper is Army Painter and their paints are terrible (though they're about to re-release a new line of paints from what I understand).  I've been moving to AK since I prefer them, but they're a bit more expensive here, so I doubt they're cheaper in the UK.

I don't know the prices, but Duncan Rhodes' "Two Thin Coats" line is pretty solid paint --- but I don't know if it's cheaper than Vallejo (just very obviously cheaper than expensive GW paints).

Thanks for the input everyone. I decided to follow the advice of Mad Lord Snapcase (it’s a brave man who doesn’t) and go for Wayland Games. Their prices seem as good as most and better than many and the free post over £20 was an incentive. I’ve even bought a Citadel pot along with the Vallejo stuff. I’ve gone for the Nuln Oil shade, once again on his Lordship’s recommendation.

Late - but SnM Stuff  https://www.snmstuff.co.uk/  are excellent.

Carry a wide range of paints (Vallejo, Mig, AK, Lifecolour, Army Painter, Tamiya), glue, tools and figures, always posted quickly - plus the store only shows what they have in stock, avoiding much wailing and grinding of teeth.
