What material did you use to 'plaster' the building? When I do an adobe structure I use spackle to texture the surface.

(Sadly though, Malamute's beautiful church doesn't have a bell in the bell tower (such a slapdash attitiude  :D) are you going to put a bell in that little aperture at the top of the facade?)  ;)

Of course! A church without a bell is not a church ... ask Malamute about that lol lol lol
I am still searching for a bell? Anyone any ideas??? I thought about a wooden horizontal post in the aperture and the bell hanging down from it. On top of the rounded wall a black wrought-iron cross will be added.

@ gamer Mac:
You are right. The blue and green material is high density foam. I bought it in a nearby shop that sells architectural and model building materials (Kirch Modellbau, homepage: http://www.kirch-gmbh.de/index_home.html). It is (in my opinion) not very expensive. For example a piece of 600mm x 330mm, 5mm thick costs Euro 3,50.

@Mikey:
The plaster is a very "wet" mixture of what we call "Rigips" in Germany (http://www.rigips.de/putze_handputze.asp#pos1). The page is available only in german ...
We use this plaster normally inside houses on walls and in the corners to close all holes before putting on wallpaper or stucco. When it is mixed with water to a very wet consistency you can put it on with a brush (it is easier to reach corners for example).

Thanks for the motivating remarks ... hope to finish it very soon.

I used to like you.... ;) lol

I am going to find a christmas chocolate decoration (I know Lindt chocolates sell Easter Bunnies with a little bell on) I am assuming I should find one on a Christmas chocolate or a cheap decoration that should be about the right scale.

I am just back from Tesco and they are selling Lindt Reindeer with bells round their necks if anyone is after another one. My two came from easter bunnies.

New photos of the church:

Added a roof for the side building and some details and sanded the base. Still had no time to paint the thing ...

When watching the film "Rio Lobo" I got the idea to add some adobe ruins to my church which can be used as covers for my little men  ;) ... the ruins were built in 5 minutes. Okay, I know that the walls are a little too thick  :? but they are sturdy against bullets :D

Very nice, the adobe ruins look very effective too. Can't wait to see both pieces painted up. :)

Looking good.
Sorry to be picky but your roof tiles look upside down. (May just be my old eyes though 8) this is not the cool shade icon this is the needs glasses icon)

I noticed the tiles and was pondering whether to mention it but then saw Macs post.

Both do look very effective indeed.

:o :o :o ... you both are right ... it must be the influenza which I am fighting with at the moment ... better not building anything when feeling really sick  :'(

I try to fix it when I am feeling better ... this church will cost nearly all of my nerves until it is finished ...  ;)

UPDATE!!!

I was a little bit concerned with the situation and fixed the roof (instead of staying in bed!). Now here are two new photos with a correct roof and with the bell (a very nice present of "gamer Mac" ... thank you very much!) added to the bell tower ...

@ malamute: Now MY bell tower is a real bell tower ... and Yours?!  :D :D :D

... and now back to bed  ;)

The bell looks great on your Bell tower, my tower is still a tower...lol

Although I also received a bell from Gamer Mac, as yet it is still unattached. I spent the day yesterday building thatched peasnat Jacales instead. :D
