Gai Jin would make an interesting film but it could not be Season 2.   I notice from  the credits that the Clavell family were involved in this remake. Maybe the writer left notes. He was quite prolific - screenplays for The Great Escape and 633 Squadron - directing The Last Valley etc etc.

Ugh, no thanks to a season 2.  The story had a suitable begining, middle, and end.

Go find something else to tell a story about instead of rehashing the plot.
