These are from Eureka Miniatures "Boiler Plate Apes" line, and are Gibbon Monkeys in 28mm. Very lively poses, and I had a blast painting them. More pics on my blog linked below. I was pretty happy with how they came out.

Also painted a Gibbon as a fire control officer for this Reviresco Robot Gun. Figured the monkey might need a bodyguard to bring the unit out to three figures, so I painted up a chimpanzee from the Atomic Cafe line.

So far, 2024 is off to a good start in production on both minis and terrain!

Finished the Ogre Battle Box I have been painting as a commission for a friend.  I painted the Ogres in December but the rest were done this month.

13 hours to assemble and paint the lot....

Some Reaper Bones modern zombies. Kind of soft details, but they turned out alright.

Thanks! The skin tones were half by accident - I primed them white then gave them a wash with thinned down Agrax Earthshade, mainly so I could see the details better. I found that the thinned Agrax already looked a bit like really unhealthy skin, so I added thinned down Reikland Flesh, especially around the eyes, mouth, and anywhere the skin was broken or flesh was showing. After that I blocked in everything else with colours that could fit a range of periods, and picked out some details like the eyes and teeth.

I’m just hoping I can replicate the effect on the next batch!

I can sympathize! I will even mix an entire bottle of a "wash" or similar so I don't have to sweat the proportions every time I paint a new batch.

Good luck!

Thanks! I’ll have updates on the zeds fairly soon. Need to clear some 15mm barbarians out of the queue first though.
