The Bad Batch series 3 - likely to contain spoilers
« on: February 26, 2024, 01:32:32 PM »
Didn't see an existing thread on this.

So who has caught up on the first three episodes then?

It sort of crept in under the radar.

The first 3 epoisodes appeared on Disney+ last week.

Seems to be tying some of The Mandalorian season 1 Grogu plotline with sequal trilogy Rey plotline.

Seen all three, missing Tech. The first episode was one of the best in the series, quite grim.

Is Omega still a character?

I haven’t watched it yet, but the introduction reads that it’s still mainly about her.

Episode one is mainly her, and although I wasn't keen, it's an improvement, I think - and a good episode too, I thought.

I enjoyed the second episode. Was the tentacle creature the same sort of creature seen in the Death Star trash room?

Loved the series so far, it’s got a lot darker as it’s gone from season 2 to 3

Yeah, I'm really enjoying it, definately on par with the excellent Clone wars series.

I wasn't a fan of Omega at first but I've warmed to her enormously, which I think is a testament to the quality of the writing.

I'm very excited about the prospect of Ventress making a return appearence, she's one of my favourite characters for sure, great story arc.

I guess in the end they're all doomed, as we know they're not around by the time we get to episode 4, and we also know that Palpatine's cloning program comes to fruition.

Speaking of clones, I've always been confused by the existance of the clone cadets. I understood that Boba Fet was the exception to the rule and that all other clone troopers were subject to accelerated growth, yet we've seen cadets as children in several episodes of the clone wars and now in BadBatch.

Additionally, we've seen Cody and some other clones as men in their late 50's. I thought clones didn't live that long....

Have they just retconned this?

Enjoying Season 3 - Omega is less annoying which certainly improves the episodes, and they are definitely getting darker...

Speaking of clones, I've always been confused by the existance of the clone cadets. Since the Clone Wars Series my understanding has been that the Clones (with the exception of Boba) age at twice normal rates...so it takes 9 years for a clone to reach maturity .  There are limits to the number of clones that Kamino could "grow" in each wave hence the cadets that haven't reached maturity by Seasons 3 of BB.

A clone in his 50's would therefore be 25-30 years old...coming to the end of his shelf life.
