Warhammer Renaissance Now with a fully painted army pics

Finished a unit of Sea Guards. Next up is a White Lion Chariot and some various models to up some of the units sizes. And then I think the army is finished. Even though I am debating with myself if I should do a dragon as a treat to myself.

That’s a very impressive army! Great results in a short time, too - it takes me years to get an army that size together (partly due to being prone to distraction and drifting between projects).

This Warhammer Renaissance looks to hit the sweet spot for me in terms of nostalgia and gameplay preferences. I got the rules and army books, and I am now planning on doing a couple of armies, albiet I'm doing them in 15mm.

It really has been an enjoyable project. And Warhammer Renaissance really does hit a sweet sport between gameplay and nostalgia. I have played 4 games against my regular gaming buddies Dwarf army all massively enjoyable and very close games.

It has been most satisfying to assemble and paint a full army in less than 6 months. Something that was completely unthinkable when I was a teenager back in the 90's. But it turns out if you actually spend some time painting you can get a lot of stuff painted. Now I have already started thinking what my next army should be.

As others have mentioned the sculpts really do feel like something one could have bought from GW back in the day.

I have painted up a bit more for the High Elves. Some unit reinforcements to bolster the size og the spearmen, Swordmasters and the Phoenix Guard units I haven't bothered with a picture of those. But I have also done up a chariot pulled by White Lions.
