So here is the first Quar I have painted.

A Crusader Rhyfler armed with a Bogen semi-automatic rifle.

Here he is with the rest of his (as yet) unfinished comrades.


This is the Coftyran squad (only in undercoat).

Apart from the promo  minis, I think these are the first painted Quar I’ve seen. Well done.

Cool, I've been looking forward to seeing some painted Quar. Are you going to mix the skin colours? Or keep with the blue?

Yes, it was just chance that an Ultramarine blue Quar was the first to be finished.

I am trying to distribute the colours amongst the Crusader and Coftyran troops - though yellow is only going to be used on the Crusader troops, otherwise the skin/fur colour would match the facing colours.

Currently I am using Army Painter Fur Brown, Citadel Daemonette Hide, Citadel Ultramarine Blue and Citadel Mechrite Red.
I have not decided on a suitable green (Army Painter Army Green if it will work with Citadel Snotwomble green Crusader uniforms), nor if I can do the spots justice.

Nice job.  I got my own Quar project going and it’s nice to see others progress. 

I’m still waiting for my plastic sets though.

Very nice job.
I've only just started with the plastics as I was working my way through the metal stockpile.
I found that positioning of the arms, especially on the coftryans, to be quite fiddily.
you seem  to have nailed it.

A couple of them were a bit recalcitrant, but none of them ended up looking as if they had lost a battle with SpiderMan(tm) (or should that be SpiderQuar) like the Great War British figures in the tangled Web of stringy styrene.

I pre-melted the joining points on the body and upper arms and did them as one combined operation. The left hand was bonded by adding the liquid poly once positioned. Always check you gave the correct pair of arms.

At Warfare  I bought the latest (at that point) new Quar from the Sarissa stand.

Those all look like good kits.

They looked better moulded than the previous ones.
