Damn, now I'm tempted by all 3 sets................. They are available from Terrascenic in the UK for the same price as Australia quotes.

I can see this used for Chicago, UK, WWII city fighting, 40K City fighting, AT-43, zombies, Super heroes, etc.  I also see a lot more usse for the Old Glory Chicago houses and the Plasticille buildings. I'm assuming that the MDF is textured?  I had thought of copying Dave Bickley and making boards with pavements/sidewalks from Ainstey, but this looks far more versatile

Having looked at the price of CNC and the work involved I wonder how easy they are to make. 
I am thinking of  getting 18" squares and using Ainstey pavements with cork board infills to raise the building height and so avoid having to base them.  In some kind of grid system they can be repositioned but yet be thin enough to stack. 
Anyone else done this?  What is the best thickness and wood?
