Arab/Egyptian Civilians
« on: November 25, 2009, 12:28:43 PM »
Does anyone know of anyone who manufactures a range of the above?  Or anything that might be converted as such?
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

What period?  Brigade do some nice diggers etc. and there must be some good proxies amongst the historical ranges from the likes of Essex/Gripping Beast that could stand in.

I suspect 25/28mm:
Eureka miniatures some sets of Arab merchants, stalls and customers. A harem set. Some Indian civilians might also be useful.

Irregular miniatures also has some:
http://irregularminiatures.co.uk/

Perry miniatures has a pack of muslim civilians that also might be useful (in the crusaders range/muslim civilians):

WestWind in their gothic range has a pack with some diggers.
Brigade games also has some diggers.

There are many.

Blue Moon:

PC-03 Egyptian Agents

Box 4 I Just Don't Feel My Age - A Mummy Scenario

West Wind

Gothic horror

GHM0004 - Diggers

GHM0003 - High Priest and Evil Cultists

Old Glory Miniatures

Caos in Cairo

Cairo civilians, two sets

RPM/06 Middle Eastern Peasant mob

Eureka

Middle Eastern Harem [100CIV26]

(if you like this, take a look at Hasslefree to, you perv!, who makes harem girls and guards clad in very thin gauze.)

Middle Eastern Civilians[100CIV10] (This one comes with market stalls to)

Eureka also has several Indian civilians which may be useful.

and, as mentioned, Brigade Games:

You might as well mention Pulp Figures who make these:

The are titled 'Istanbul Constabulary" but they look more like Egyptians to me. Turks did not officially wear fezes post 1920.

[EDIT] for completeness and by popular request:

Askari Miniatures

EG-1 Egyptian Digging Crew

EG-4 Egyptian farmers

[EG-3] Egyptian Man leading donkey

EG/2 Egyptian Merchants

Perry Miniatures

The Crusades, Muslim

MA29 Muslim Civilians

Mega Miniatures

I guess you could pic out a few from this set if you find them lovely:

MEM 90010 Arabian HAREM

Irregular is out because of the eye/watering webpage and lack of picture catalogue.

Talk to White Knight. He maintains a cross-manufacturer catalogue over at Frothers.

I'm working on painting the Brigade diggers and archeologist.  They are quite detailed, but are on the small side compared to WW and other 25/28mm figures.  The Diggers appear to be true 25mm figures.  I'll soon have them finished along with some other pulp minatures, will do a side by side comparison photo for you.
