GuyD's Chivalric Saga (Swiss)

I figured I'd make a separate thread for my upcoming Swiss warband for Saga: Age of Chivalry.

The initial bunch of test figures.

Yeah, lovely stuff.
God, I hope for your sake it's the pike-armed version of the Swiss they go with and not the bill-armed...

I'm building a bunch of pikemen at the moment, but would like to eventually to reinforce them with some billmen as well. What seems to be problem, would it be ahistorical army composition-wise? Or is this that actually cutting the pikes and attaching the bills seems to be a major PITA?

The Swiss used small numbers Halberdiers to guard the banners in this period so it might be justified but you really are talking small numbers compared to pike.

I love the way you layered on the highlights, it makes them look slightly worn out :)

Early on, they were mostly halberdiers but changed over to pikes to better deal with enemy cavalry. Dont know when exactly but you should be ok either way

Yeah I was going to post something similar. Since the composition changed over the time I feel for Saga you are fine having either of them. Age of Chivalry covers quite a long period where arms and armor changed quite a bit.

Nice work, are those the warsteel casualties? I've been meaning to get some of them printed off myself...
