I did it, I finally did it. "The 17th century isn't my cup of tea", "I'm never getting into ECW or TYW" I used to say... Well, here I am.
You know the feeling, you just casually pick up a bunch of second hand ECW Perry Scots in a small trade group on FB, for a bargain - and suddenly you're hooked - you convert some of them, order some more (and more) speedpaint two warbands in two weeks and then you start working (and converting) on two more. Well, that's how it was for me, at least.

Jokes aside - I'm hooked. I've finished two warbands - one English and one Scottish - so far, and we've played a couple of games using tweaked Ravenfeast rules so far, and it's been a blast! Let's start with two group shots of the "speedpainted in two weeks" warbands so far. I decided to paint the English all in red and the Scots in grey with light blue bonnets. The rule of cool might be the theme here, but it looks good on the table and helps distinguish beetween the two. When we get the Irish (yes, I',m working on some of those too) and brigands(read: moss troopers) in the mix as well it will work even better.
We have a pretty basic setup when we play our skirmish-sized campaigns:
1 Leader
1 Second in command
2 Sergeants
6 Pikemen w/ "shortened pikes" - works better for skirmish sized games
6 Musketeers
+special units you can "buy" using more points and/or Coins (Dismounted Dragoons so far for the English, I'm working on some Lancers for the Scots, atm). Anyway, on to some quick "army" shots - detailed ones will follow!
Minis are Perry, with some minor conversions (Like the Scot commander with an eyepatch and his lochaber-wielding sergeants) with some bits from our estemeemed Captain Blood thrown in the mix!
