What a Cowboy - the Soapy Bar Kid and friends
« on: November 02, 2024, 02:36:45 PM »
Retirement is letting me spend time on several stalled projects including What a Cowboy.

I'm currently making trees for my GdA2 project in 18mm, but these will also work well for the Old West.  A few pictures of stuff already done or underway.

The Lawmen - I hesitate to call them good guys

and the no good varmin

and a few Deadman's Hand figures thrown in.

Love the worn look of the advertisments.

Nice painting on those figures. Great choice of colours. Good job on the scratchbuilding too  :)

Cheers guys for the kind words.

Another four of the 3D Breed figures finished - they are lovely figures to paint, although they seem to lack definition of the faces up under the hats - maybe an issue with the 3d printing.

Excellent paintjobs on all your miniatures shown here and very well thought and executed scratchbuilds as well. Keep showing, please!  :-*

Excellent stuff - and I love the water tower! Always nice to "meet" another fan of The Expanse! That stable block is excellent too. I've been needing one for my own Old West town, and this design is wonderful. It may get borrowed...

superb scratch building, and great painting.   I've got those minis waiting to be printed.

Love the 'Pur n Kleen' reference - a fellow 'Expanse' fan?

Cheers all for the kind words - Cypher and Hawkeye - yes I'm a massive Expanse fan, glad someone recognised it  ;)

Working on a barn to go with the stables. Basics all done, just detailing and roof to go, but there is only so much chopping and gluing of coffee stirrers I can do in one go.

Well done so far.  That feller in the outhouse brings new meaning to the phrase "getting the s**t shot out of you".... :o
