Mata Hari, John Dillinger, etc. off to the caster.
« on: 01 December 2009, 10:25:33 PM »
Just a note for those following...

The very beautiful Mata Hari, John Dillinger, and Julian II sculpts done by Leandro Ventic are finally off to the caster, along with the fourth figure in the wave, done by Curtis Fell. Hoping to have them before Christmas. Will keep you updated.

Some reminder shots.

Gratuitously showing these off, as I think they are some of the nicest figs we've had yet.

Beautiful sculpts. I love them all! You should make a second Dillinger with both hands on a Trench Sweeper and a cigarette in his mouth!  :-* :-* :-*

HAH:) Thank you for the compliments. I agree, Blood, that it's quite a lovely beastie he's riding. I was really pleasantly surprised at just how good Leandro is. He's currently sculpting Japanese in M1930 uniforms and cherry blossom helmets for the Shanghai Range, along with Kawashima Yoshiko.

Mattias, you might be interested to know that he comes with three different weapon options. Tommy Gun, Target Pistol, and his specially modified auto-firing Super .38.

When are you expecting Mata Hari? If it won't be too long, I might just wait for her so I can order her, The Ghost, and a tank all at once...

Unfortunately, I don't have a firm release date for her, as yet. Before Christmas is about as good as I can give you at the moment.

Very nicely done indeed. I'm very tempted to pick up Mata Hari and John Dillinger when they come available. Keep us posted!

Muahaha! I showed her to my wife, and now she thinks I should get her. I love it when a plan comes together...

"But honey, if I wait for her, I won't be able to have the Ghost who walks for my Pygmy army. Oh, right, save on shipping. Alright, I'll wait. Yeah, they're the ones with Euzkadi. Yeah, I'll get that at the same time, too."

Mata is my favourite! What a mini, not the usual thin model-like girl, a real woman!
Splendid work!

Mata Hari is superb, but Julian looks very short-legged.

Thank you all for the kind words, as always:) Mata is one of my favorites, too.

Fair comment on Julian, Fast, but it has to do with the way he's riding the horse, one of the common ways of riding a horse in antiquity was to tuck your legs up and forward (as there were no stirrups in common use at the time). So his legs are partly obscured by the cloak he's carrying.

Fair enough - bit uncomfortable though. I generally prefer to ride long-legged, although I've not tried with the four-cornered Roman saddle :

Well, my wife will want that Mata Hari and I think I can find a use for Dillinger but, excuse my ignorance here, Doc but what company are you? (I'll bet everyone on the board is gasping in astonishment at my ignorance but I'm used to that :D  )
