Thanks all.

Cauldron made:

Excellent. That'll come in handy as an altar in-game.  :D

Thanks chaps

how?  :o

It's deceptively simple. It really is.

The basic bowl was made from green stuff added to the outside of a foam ball (in my case the ball having been a faux berry snipped from our Xmas door wreath). When the GS had cured, the foam ball was scraped out to leave a bowl (a bit like lost wax casting).

A flat circle was cut from plasticard and superglued to the mouth of the GS bowl,  to form the basic structure of the rim.

Thereafter it was just a matter of carving/filing/sanding excess or building volume with more GS to create the final cauldron shape.

Thank you AEG  :)

My wife wants to play but with a female character, so I offered up a choice from 4 Bloody Miniatures ladies.

She chose one but then asked for changes: bigger boobs, more cleavage, a narrower face, a hint of a smile (I’ve gone for wry, upturned one side) and bigger hair.

So basically she asked for Dolly Parton? Be grateful she wasn't asking for actual cosmetic surgery $$$$$$$$ Kerching!

Nice conversion.

She might even work for regency/empire dressed figs in the early 18th century. I’ll buy.

Too right!

I scroll through the thread ready with quips about how there was no reason to grind off the beard; characteristic of many old witches, Snow White's step-mother will be upset at losing the apple, and I read that.

Most women I know would hear the list and say 'how like a man...'

I declare 'Keeper!'

Re: SI’s Devilry Afoot: 2/2/25 Scenario - headless horseman
« Reply #29 on: February 02, 2025, 03:12:25 PM »
lol  Thanks all.

Have found a useful source of scenario inspiration!.

Looking for my 'perfect' Scottish Tower House, I happened upon the back story for Castle Moy on Mull. To quote:

Quote
Iain the Toothless, the chief, and his son and heir, Ewen of the Little Head, fought in 1538 over the latter's marriage settlement: apparently Ewen's wife was not satisfied with their house on a fortified island in Loch Squabain, and desired something more luxurious. Ewen was slain in the subsequent battle, his head being hewn off and his horse riding away for two miles with the decapitated body. A cairn was said to mark the spot where Ewen finally fell from his horse, but this has been destroyed.

His ghost, the headless horseman, is said to been seen riding in Glen Mor on a dun-coloured horse, sometimes with a green cloak, when one of the MacLaines is about to die. There are also tales of a ghostly black dog. Ewen was buried on Iona, where his grave can apparently still be seen.

So a headless horseman and a barghest

All from here:

https://www.thecastlesofscotland.co.uk/the-best-castles/scenic-castles/moy-castle/

There are a lot of castles and quite a few of their backstorys include ghosts etc .
