I built and painted a Rubicon 1/56th scale plastic kit of the M54 in post-Vietnam livery. I grew up with US Army vehicles from the local garrisons being painted in MERDC winter camouflage, that was in use for US vehicles deployed in Germany between the mid 1970s until mid 1980s.
I always wanted to attempt this camouflage since those days have passed, but it was until now that there was a model vehicle in proper 28mm wargaming scale available. Best of it was that it's one of my most favoured vehicles ever (I have a soft spot for lorries). Bumper markings were left away to have it generic for second hand use by (imagi-)nations on the wargaming table.
I also built the Huey chopper, but it's not painted yet. I am amazed by how good these Rubicon kits fit together, how detailed they are and how sturdy for rough handling on the table. These are truly wargaming models with a display model detailing standard.
