Slowly populating these bases with Icetribe + Savages...

The giant command stand is inspired by MikeyG! His project is amazing :-)

Looking really good. Your colour palette for these is fantastic: muted, but still varied and interesting.

Thankyou! I'm using a few of the ww2 colours to some good effect, once you mix in buff or white you get some pretty natural muted tones.

So far: Vallejo English Uniform (yellowy-brown) and AK Dunkelgelb 1944 (greyish green) highlighted with Buff and Ivory.

They’re from the range Maceface sculpts, and which are sold as Hornblower Miniatures. You can buy them from Northstar Military Figures.

As I was typing, the question was answered. Maceface Minis really is a blessing! The models are just so good!

Thankyou, as the others have kindly said, the Shieldmaidens and Savage Command stand are part of the Hornblower range. The multibased unit is made up of a mix of Hornblower and Barbarica figures;-)

Not heaaaps of progress on the Savages as I'm waiting for the next releases to bolster those stands...

But have started work on some Barbarian Norse bits. That army will be a big mix of copplestone and Hornblower bits.

Those are excellent! I thoroughly enjoy the Copplestone and Hornblower figures I have picked up. I haven’t mixed any on a base yet, though, so it’s cool to see how that will work (perfectly, by the look of it!)

Thankyou!

I'm trying to make sure the models share some sort of gear/accessories or materials to help bridge the gap between the sculpts buuuut working on some Male norse that will sit somewhere between the shieldmaidens and Copple barbs.

Most likely tunics and chainmail as to not double up heaps. I think the mix of many packs will look great in the end. Copples beefy champions are really great and add some body shape variation.

Also doing some half-giant packs that will act as Ogres (aprox 23-25mm tall). I feel these small figures need some height variance in the units to give a good look on the battlefield.
